New paper entitled "Characterization and quantification of path dependency in landslide susceptibility Geomorphology" by J. Samia, A. Temme, A. Bregt, J. Wallinga, F. Guzzetti, F. Ardizzone, M. Rossi accepted for publication in the journal Geomorphology.

 

We have started a new effort to map rainfall-induced landslides in the Acquasanta Terme (AP) and the Roccafluvione (AP) municipalities. In three days, through field surveys conducted along major and minor roads, we have mapped more than 500 landslides in an area of less than 100 square kilometres. Our mapping effort will continue in the upcoming weeks.

A new book "GIS Open Source" (italian language) was published by Ivan Marchesini, a member of the IRPI team, and some co-authors.

 

Mihai Niculita and Andrei Adrian (Department of Geography, Faculty of Geography and Geology, University Alexandru Ioan Cuza from Iași) visit our institute for a three months period starting the 1st March 2015.
